Thanks J, looking forward to it.  :)

Big update as loads of stuff completed.

Herr V. R. Gut, Madame La Mal and Mr U. G. Lee:

(a Perry plastic and two Knuckleduster, all converted; I think I’ll redo Gut’s eyes idc)

Four specialists:

(Knuckleduster, Artizan conversion, Wargames Illustrated, WG Project Z conversion)

1.2m of railroad on 30x15 tiles and showing the telegraph poles at 20cm spacing (clearly, I have more 60x60 tiles to make,)

Close up of the track:

(I copied the partially covered sleepers from a Black Hills railroad; the Hornby OO track is split and widened to 25mm so using coverage avoided recreating the centre of every sleeper)

Train on the track with an Artizan mini for scale:

Elements for a campsite on the edge of town:

(Standard Renedra tents though I closed off the open flaps)

The railroad’s water tower:

(The lead hose rises and falls)

The cemetery:

The train with the station platform in place:

(The train has actually moved from the position in the images above; a section of groundwork lifts out to take the platform)

A selection of layout shots:

(I need to make the town tiles, which will not have the expanse of grass)

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 0
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Fantastic!  That water tower especially is a work of art.

Amazing Work Steve in such a short period of time. :)

I can hear the gunshots and smell the gun smoke!

Can't believe you've done so much already.

Love the pistoleria (?) in the red dress, cool figure, excellent painting.  Anxious to see more.

Thanks chaps  :)

Next up in the painting queue are some scatter items and the train crew, then the Apache.

One of my favourites. She’s Kansas City Sal, a bystander by Knuckleduster though I removed her right hand and replaced it with one with a pistol from a Perry plastic. My interpretation is influenced by Eva from Hell on Wheels.

I'm sure she'll do us folks here in Kansas City proud.
