That looks really good Steve - is it too late to make the interior accessible?

Thanks Mark. It’s never too late, as it can always be rebuilt  :D

That said, with 25mm bases it’d be very difficult to create a meaningful interior that wouldn’t look ridiculously cramped. My inclination is therefore to go with a separate model of the interior, to a more generous floor scale (maybe 1” will be modelled as 1.25”?) with a bar/counter etc that can accomdate a realistic number of staff and patrons. The only downside would be the disconnect from having two playing areas. Or I might just end up thinking “sod it” and cut the roof out.  lol

I don't think it needs a detailed interior, but the ability to put figures inside a building is really useful in the Ffol games as it differentiates from those that are on the roof.

Nice! Is that Rosa's cantina in El Paso?  :)

(Yes, I must admit, one of my guilty pleasures is Marty Robbins and his gunfighter ballads.)

Thanks Plynkes - it’s based on a building from the film sets in Spain but it can be whatever it looks like  :D. I’m not sure if I should be embarrassed but I don’t know who Marty Robbins is....

Ah-ha. I see where you’re coming from. In that case I suspect I’ll try out playing with a sketch/plan of the interior. Though, I do like making little doll’s houses  ;) :)

Your talc and glue mix is bloody effective, that's a nice finish.

Thanks Rui and Steve.

Because it amused me to do so  :D, here’s a photo comparison of the raw plaster and then after scraping and coating:

(The coating is somewhat translucent, which plays havoc with the lighting and focus)

Hopefully, what can see is that the finished effect is much less textured while having a smoothed but irregular appearance.

Nice end result, mate.
Worth all the extra effort that your patented plaster technique involves.

How rude  lol

The glalc finish (glue and talc) really does add to the overall look. I'm very tempted to give it a go.

How do you apply it, with a brush?

You’re right Paul. Though I’m surprised you didn’t work out the ‘root’ of the name. ;)

Steve/Nick. Glalc - very good  :D. The mix is applied with a brush and is of a consistency that  easily spreads but does not run. Too thick and it just grabs the plaster and stops the brush, too thin and it pools. Basically I can touch up by dabbing it onto a vertical surface and it will hold its form while blending into what is already there (and yes that is a contradiction but what can I say, it’s magic  ;)).

Edited for nonsense typos
