I'm so stoked about these goblins (or Orcs, as I'll be calling them).

Due to limited hobby time I only ordered a single box, but if they're as good as I hope, I'll pick up a couple more in the future.

So far I'm thinking 6 swordsmen, 6 spearmen, 6 archers and 6 that I'll try to mount on Fell Wargs. That leaves 6 goblins that I'd like to arm differently.
There's enough axes and clubs in the box and I could modify the spears to be thrown spears or javelins, but I'd like more weapon options.

Any suggestions plastic kits that would be worth picking up mainly for bits?

Synonyms!  ;)

I imagine most of the Frostgrave sprues will work. I'm going to try the barbarian and soldier sprues to make Isengard Uruk-hai (long bows and short, broad-bladed swords). If I remember correctly, the dwarf bodies are supposed to work with various Frostgrave arms, so I imagine that will hold true with the goblins. I think some of the gnoll arms could provide good options too: two-handed axes and swords, for example.

The head/neck arrangements of the goblins and gnolls are different from the others, but half-orcs ("horrible" men with "goblin faces") could be another interesting product of some sprue-switching.

You can get individual Frostgrave sprues fairly reasonably on eBay.

I've managed to use pretty much all the various plastic heads on most of the torsos; you have to settle for heads looking to the side in some cases.

Not tried the Gnoll heads elsewhere though.

I'm certainly thinking of trying some man-orc kit bashes with the rest of the frostgrave stuff

Looks like I'll be picking up a sprue from each frostgrave kit then, thanks for the suggestions :)

Regarding Orcs and Goblins being synonyms, that sounds rather tolkienesque.

I need a name to seperate the Oathmark models from the smaller goblins that I'll be building to complement them and years of DnD and GW brainwashing has lead me to use Orc for the larger greenskins* and Goblin for the smaller ones.

*greenskins is probably wrong too, according to Tolkien  :)

Mine will be Orcs too (I think the Goblin tag has just been put there to make @Hobgoblin buy them!  ;)

...and to heavily hint at their old skool Tolkien vibe...

I believe Northstar sell separate sprues of their frostgrave plastics too (I think)

In D&D mode I think of Orcs and goblins as different; in Tolkien terms they mean more or less the same thing (I refer you to the ongoing discussion elsewhere here between m'learned friends).

I guess "snaga" is a pretty good term for the smaller Orcs. I mean goblins. Errrrr....minions.

I am in for a regiment. Gonna use them, initially at least, in my Mordor orcs force.

Me too :)

If I'm lucky, I might even find time to assemble them during the holidays.

Excellent service from North Star - very well done indeed.
