Fantasy re basing
« on: November 20, 2017, 05:02:57 PM »
So, I've decided to rebase all my fantasy stuff onto rounds! 😐

Another cultist for the base is round cult.
Welcome, have a seat at the round table.

40 plus I think then I've got to rebate some primed models onto rounds, they definitely look better on rounds, I have my monsters on square bases, which I'm not going to change as it's way too much hassle

Beware, huge bases like that seriously limit the utility of the figures and make it all but impossible to use them in indoor, town or underground settings. While I think round is a viable choice when the diameter of the round base is equal to the edge-length of the square base one is trading out, and thus the round base is smaller, it's almost always a mistake to go the other way. The way you have those now, you're restricted to playing outdoor skirmish encounters. Maybe that's all you do now but it's not necessarily all you'll want to do going forward. Just my two cents.

Cherrs for the advice, I don't really do anything but skirmishes and they tend to be outdoor not dungeon based, most of the time they are sat in my cabinet so more display pieces than wargames! 😀
