I recently painted some fantasy minis for a friend in the local gaming group, the first in many years. They're Reaper minis dwarves & were a real pleasure to paint, with nice deep, crisp detail & very characterful faces. The GW mini was one of their Runelords (the owner had trimmed the beard a bit, not being keen on the rather OTT facial hair GW dwarven characters tend to sport) & I was a little surprised, given how much detail they've tended to cram onto the minis they've produced in the last few years, at how sparse it was when compared to the Reaper examples, still, it painted up well enough.
(I've got a couple of halflings to do for the same friend & will post pics when they're done.)
