Lord Marcus' other projects.
« on: November 23, 2017, 04:14:53 PM »
This will be a catch all blog of my work that is not related to my 6mm elves project. This includes other 6mm armies.

Other than 6 mm I mainly work in 28mm scale however I also have projects in 20-25mm scale/ 1/72nd. ANY pictures of stormcast Eternals are from an ongoing commission.

In no particular order:

Update:

For my small business Saturday haul I was able to get a forces of nature army set(mantic) for half price. Because forces of nature is a catch all I'm going to split up the minis in the following way:

Druid - painting project/ dungeons and dragons use

Tree-kin/forest shamblers - Tree herder in my 6mm elf army. These will be Titanic in scale, but I like that idea

Salamanders - added to my already large salamanders army

Naiads - I've always wanted merfolk in Miniature form. I think I will build these up to be a separate or allied in force.

I was given a wet palette and a multitude of brushes as part of my christmas haul. due to my backlog of 28mm mini's, there will be quite alot of updates coming soon.

Test scheme for naiads. Light purple as a secondary color.

Nice colour choice. Who makes them?

Don't be afraid to post bigger pictures and crop them.

Coherent themes this year are probably going to be trident realms and salamanders. Finished gor rok (probably subbing as a fight hero) and primed a whole bunch of stuff last night. Thoughts appreciated.

That shield's black looks pretty good, the gold seems a little flat in contrast. Maybe a black ink wash on the gold parts or dry brushing it on to give a little depth?
