It's as if I found out space shuttles really were just made of soldered soup cans.

 lol
It's not as difficult as you'd think. Just requires treating card more like wood.
When I can count to ten again ( rather than 8 and a bit.) If you like I can build something similar technique wise in a WiP.

Nothing out of the ordinary .Sand it,carve it,and steam it to aid forming.Just as you can do with a piece of wood.
I normally use an old table spoon as a former for each half of a body shape ( couple of pieces laminated after steaming then carved and sanded in shape ).
The domed section on the locomotive is simply roled card .Carved to a rough shape and finished with an Emory board..

I must give it a try, though I doubt it will be
anything like as nice as your output.

Finally managed to find time for a foot version of the ancient Barbarian. It's going to go over to Chris. As an additional set for his Guard's Guard's stuff.

There’s a “Cohen the barbarian” in the Discworld novels.

Totally unrelated to this other equally old barbarian.

The Ancient Barbarian has now been added to the Guard's Guard Kickstarter campaign, which just has three days to go!
