Just seeing the figures so far posted, I'll be buying all of the Kreigspielers as soon as they hit the store.    ::)

Mark,
I am really looking forward to the complete set of the Kriegspielers. I think that the oversize personalities of the group fit your sculpting style very well lol lol. In another life I would have been all over that dwarf as well. These days I have to justify any increased storage and hobby space to She Who Must Be Obeyed  lol lol

Just found a minute to up date to add a couple more pics.
The Great White hunter Kriegspeiler only requires his feet/sandals reworking( which I'll probably do tonight) .
The Ottoman Spy Kriegspeiler is just some new heals.
As for the Yeti, I'm still not keen on it and it's proving more of a chore ,than fun to paint.

Well, the Yeti might be a chore, but I reckon it looks just brilliant!

Thank you
I stuffed the blending with a Matt Varnish. Totally my own fault  .I knew it was likely to happen with a matt varnish. I figured  Id enough contrasting layers to wing it .Turns out I was being to clever for my own good lol

I've literally just tweaked the face, and added the intend shading (alway add a layer of varnish before adding black eyes, and a ruddy nose. That way it's easier to remove without  ruining the whole face. If it goes wrong.
The base is still wet .It'll get a layer of varnish once the edging   has had a couple of hours to dry.

Mark, that yeti is just great but I think that the base is the best part! I really like the colors, a departure from the many bluish yetis that I have seen.

There may or may not be issues with the varnish yet I like the end result.  ;)

Cheers everyone.
The Kriegspeilers reworks are still plodding along as and when I'm able.At the moment I busy sculpting plantation field hands, and cotton pickers. Then its some Iron age/ dark age figures.
Lon.
The base is it's saving grace. Ironically it took less than ten minutes.
Painted the rocks around the Yeti's feet, a quick two tones of Earth brown around the edge.Blast with a hairdryer. thin layer of Mod podge ,stick some tufts in the wet glue .Dunk in the bag of white sand. A couple of blobs of neat Mod podge  here and there on top of the first layer of sand, and some dabbed onto the tufts then back in the bag of sand. Whilst the glue is drying paint the edge of the base black.and it's done.
If you leave the area your going to add sand to grey or very pale brown. It gives it a slush feel .paint the area white first and it gives a brighter snow feel even with a couple of layers of sand.
I've still to go back and either add a couple of dried leaves ,or snow to the base.As I noticed the sand hadn't stuck under the tuft at the front.
Carlos,
It's the Colour Forge Matt varnish, and it's proving a learning curve .As it sucks the contrast out of some colours but not others. I've found it to be quite good at buggering up metalics and transitions from lighter shades to white. Greens it doesn't seem to have much of problem with. Earth tones and lighter browns it seem to vary from use to use.
It's dropped the Yeti's fur from blended, down in appearance to almost a three colour technique. It's lost a lot of skin colour contrast on the stomach. But keep quite a bit on the hands and fingers.
It's still a useful paint job. It's just not what was there before varnishing.Which will probably bug me for a while. At the moment resisting paint the second casting I have. As I've the rest of the set and the Cultists to paint. After which I'll see if its grown on me, or If I'm still sulking about the varnish.
(The figure in the picture has had the same varnish, It killed the metallics, and the horses light to white blending.)
