finished this chappie, just the first of many, done in a rogue trader style IG scheme, yellow disc made from sprue filed down to fit the flak jacket, resin base.

Not bad at all!

The arms should just be twice as long for a real rogue-trader-IG -feel: the ones on old IG models reached way past the models knees..

Your model is a good example to remind us how good some of the "evil empire"-minis look nowadays (especially with a decent painjob like yours). Yeah, the weapons are oversized, and the chainswords just look silly, but otherwise they are pretty good!

Looks damned good to me. I love the old grey Imperial Guards. Great paint job on him, I love the wear and tear on the shoulder pads and helmet.

I've a few I may have to dig out and paint myself. Think there are a few old Commisars as well...

Very nice! I'm not a fan of the plastic Cadians, but that is a great paint job indeed. The disc must have taken ages, surely?

Superb stuff.  They were the Necromundan 8th weren't they?  The "Spiders" - recruited from members of the Spiders hivegang.

Regarding the disc, couldn't you do something similar with a sheet of plasticard and a hole punch?  It might make it a bit easier for you...

I hate missing out on the original Rogue Trader IG, always loved those miniatures. Nice job on the mini!

Nice paint job - and the yellow disc gives his enemies something to aim at!

Very nice indeed, I myself have a huge RT IG force, a mix of old metal RT bodies and newer cadian plastic arms and weapons, only a command squad and first squad painted but love the concept.

Top stuff, a reminder of when the Guard were actually interesting. I loved the old colourscheme too, real faceless galactic fascist style.

Lovely painting as well.  :)
