Did I do too well in Dark Alchemy?

i played through Dark Alchemy as part of our groups campaign, we all intend to do so, but I feel like I did a little too well.

I've ended the campaign with enough XP to go to level 8. Loot wise, I wasn't so lucky, with getting around 200gp, and a view grimoires and items of little use (except a +1 Fight Staff) and a bunch of potions, only one of which was a Greater Potion.

I made full use of my enchanters grenade spell and my archer and crossbowman to take out the likes of the Fire Flingers and Burning Skeletons (took out 6 of those!) before they could get close enough to burn me alive (although a Fire Flinger did take my wizard down to 2 health in a single attack  )The Alchemical Monstrosity was taken out by my Strength enhanced infantryman (my MVP!) and Crossbowman, although the Giant Rats did get both my Thief and Wiz to a wounded state before they limped off the board.

What have other people's experience of the solo campaign been? Is getting to level 8 a fluke or about normal? Im looking forward to seeing the other folks run throughs in my group (I was the guinea pig).

Great fun though, and looking forward to the full campaign!

I wasn't too far behind at about level 6, but I also got more useful equipment and plenty of gold, so I guess it evens out in a campaign.

I find in general play, its typical to average about 3 levels per game, so level 8 sounds about right, to me.

I got my wizard to lvl6 and my captain to lvl1.
Lvl8 is totally possible,  i missed out on some ep because, i couldn't take all treasure or managed to take down all enemies in scenario 2 and 3.
