A package of four potscrubbers from the grocery store have found a far nobler calling that scouring the bottoms of pots - they've been reborn as hedges for 28mm skirmish gaming.

The scrubbers are 4"x6", so cutting them lengthwise then folding them double with hot glue in the middle gave me two feet of 1" high hedge from two of them.
The corner pieces are also 1" high, and before gluing them I put a length of soft wire (straightened paperclip, very useful stuff!) along the top. After gluing, the wire is easily bent to 90 degrees and holds quite nicely.
The last scrubber of the four was cut in half and gives me a pair of 2" high, 3" long tall pieces.
A quick brush of pale green and a trim with scissors to get any fraying bits out of the way finished the project.
I'll probably pick up another pack of potscrubbers and do another round of production shortly.
