Peons from a conversion work with Perry's figurines as bases
« on: April 17, 2009, 08:11:27 PM »
Unsatisfied with the actual mexicans peons on the 28mm market, i take the option to make my own from Perry's Korean Guerrilla.

the original :

Ok just could be strange idea but it's work ! All conversions without milliput.

look at this :

thanks ! :D
i try to do my best for giving the work the most easy way to complete.  8)
i don't like to use  milliput (too boring) so the sombreros are made with a thin metal leaf (from decoration material) and bend to convenience.

From the original pack :
The halbard blade are use to make the machete. just cut off the spike and sculpt lightly the blade.
The axe without conversion.

From manufacturers :
Musket is a Redoubt one
The carbine and the colt are Amazon's.

homemade :
The shovel is made with a toothpick and a piece of carboard

that's all folk. Easy but very useful !!!!
Now i have peons jut like in the Magnificient seven movie !

This is so cool!
I am currently working on the Mexican Revolution and I need more peons, having exhausted the possibilities at Foundry and OG. Thanks a lot for sharing!

edit: the link didn't quite work, you need to click on Eureka 28mm, then on the Pacifica section

More precisions ;
I cut off the hair knot on each guerrilla and the small knot closing the shirt. They look too asiatic.

I'll try to do the same with the command.

i think to buy the carlist female civilians from Perry's to complete the job    >:D
