So Sweet!   :-*  When I run out of painting the OG ones I now have a source for more peons. :)

Jealous as heck of your conversions. 8)

Very nice and creative conversions!
You're right, the figures now have the real feeling for The Magnificent Seven!
 :o :-*

in a near future i'll post pics of some conversions about the spanish carlist reference ! Nearly enlisted in my Peones forces... lol

I have bought the Perry cleric ref too, for boosting moral of my mexican civilian.

i'm looking for spare peasants tools but it's something difficult to find in 28mm. Except from ESSEX or Brigades games.

and now the next group of peons :

the original :

and the conversion work (undercoated and reading for painting) :

The bayonet and the ammunition pouches were cut off.
A machete was add to the first one to the left and some homemade sombreros were add.
only the third to the left receive no conversion at all except the bayonet.  >:D

With a thin metal leaf (from decoration material) .
Cut to the scale in a rond form.
I bend it giving a sombrero shape.
If the figurine had a hat or something like this, i cut of the edge of this hat. leaving only the top hat which is sculpted to make it smaller. then i drill a hole in my metal sombredo, for sliping it on the top hat. I bend it to give it's final look !
Seems to be difficult but not so far. it's only a question of handwork ! o_o

These are very nice. I have also found that many pirate figures convert to peons easily too.

thanks,
I don't search on the pirates direction because i don't think about them.
For the Korean, it was just in looking them for the 1st time at the Perry's site that the idea come in to convert them in Peons. :D
Still aware about conversion options on figurines...

At least, there is the korean command on the way for painting :

The original ones ;

and the conversion (sorry for the poor picture).

missing the guy with the shield but need time for the conversion into peon...

tools are coming from Redoubt Enterprise (except the hammer, homemade). the rake and the hoe for example. Don't see how to use the barrow but it'll come later...

the second peon on the right, holding a homemade stool (just like in the magnificent seven) and a sickle.  :P
no modern weapon ! Peons fight with what they have in hand
