Thanks! Though, I was quite worried that the snow-dusting on the clothes would look a bit weird (especially on the yellow!), glad to hear it's turned out ok!

The dusting looks great, but the red noses and cheeks are a really nice touch. Was already impressed by Captain Blood’s inebriated ECW soldier, but these are excellent as well...I might have to experiment more with skin tones.

Post-pandemic, we really should try and get a game in, think we are doing ok for Baratheon’s and Bolton’s  :D

This looks so cool! They are clearly freezing a lot! You have gotten a lot of storytelling into the models! Really good job!

Subtle but at the same time brilliant. They look truly cold. Great work!

Hi again!

Thanks for the kind words about the chilly infantry!

I've taken a bit of a detour and painted up everybody's favourite, most legitimate king, Joffrey Baratheon!

I've gone for his Battle of the Blackwater appearance, according to Sansa in A Clash of Kings, where he's described with red enameled plate, and gilded mail, but I decided to sculpt little lion-head rondels for the armour as well. His crown is sculpted on, with "rubies and black diamonds" added to it as well

For someone who's ostensibly a Baratheon, and has that publicly doubted, you'd think he would dress a little less....Lannister-y all the time?

The model is based off of the Wargames Foundry "Knight Arming" vignette. Originally I was going to use the model to be Imry Florent, to command the Fury, but when he arrived, it turns out he's about a head shorter than the Perry sculpts! Not so good for an adult knight, but ideal for a boy-king!

Here he is with some gold-cloaks for comparison! I like the pose, it could definitely work for him commanding his trebuchets (out of the way of the useful defenders) during the Battle of the Blackwater, or just bossing people around

This also means I now have three of five kings put together (Though I will probably need to re-do poor Renly at some point)

Let me know how he's turned out!

Simply brilliant  :o

The lion-head rondels are a really nice touch (and well executed) but the heraldry is top notch.

Love it (the model, not the character :D )!

Just wonderful.  He certainly works as a young adolescent, and love the sculpting of the heraldry and the crown.

Hi again!

Thanks for the kind words about ol' Joff!

Another quick character update this time, I've put together a model to represent possible-vampire Roose Bolton, in more of a non-combatant role.

He's mostly a hodgepodge of different Perry WotR plastics, with a green-stuff cloak. I'm quite pleased with how the cloak sculpting turned out! I wanted to try and get across his strange pale eyes, because every POV character makes a mention of them, hopefully those have come across in the pictures!

Here's a shot of Roose's lovely strawberry bubblegum colours that he decides to wear, "A pale pink cloak, trimmed with white fur, embroidered with drops of blood"

And here's a couple of Dreadfort men to accompany their lord

Hopefully he's turned out ok!

A great model, the pose and especially the eyes are very convincing. I'm not a fan of pink as a heraldic colour, but that's GRR Martin's fault, not yours :D

Suitably sinister looking....Roose is one of the creepiest characters (as an aside I think Michael McElhatton did a cracking job in the TV series).

Good work on the GS cloak as well - really rounds the mini off

Thanks both!

Agreed, he put in a great performance, though I don't think the bright heraldic colours would quite fit in with the TV show's aesthetic!  lol

That’s a great bit of kitbashing. Very natural looking.
(Apart from the eyes, of course lol)
