You're a remorseless GoT-ing machine!!!

I am envious and in awe. Bringing my project out of deep freeze with a House Tully faction next month.
With goodwill to all and malice towards none...

High praise (and richly deserved).

Will be looking forward to seeing your own update - suspect a few more GoT projects will be getting a boost in the next few week...the more the merrier.

Very nice free-hand painting of the Karstark's heraldry.

Thanks for the kind words, all!

To be honest it's the other really high quality GoT/ASoIaF threads that keep me going with this! Lot of inspirational stuff on the forum, and it's always great to see peoples' interpretations of the characters!

I couldn’t agree more with this sentiment - LAF has so many inspirational thread (on so many different subjects/genre/periods).

Particularly when it comes to Game of Thrones there is no “right way” to do it, it’s just great to see everyone’s enthusiasm and ideas spurring one another on.

Hello again! I've been a bit conscious that for a while now I've neglected to do any Baratheon-focused updates, so for this week's update I've got uh....a different Baratheon!

I've decided to do a mounted version of Renly Baratheon, after he declares himself king. I wanted to take a bit more time to get to grips with sculpting to get a little less of an odd haircut to his on-foot counterpart I did before! On top of that, I wanted to work on the crown that House Tyrell gives to Renly, with its jade-and-gold stag's head.

He's also got a peach, either to taunt his brother Stannis, or for a handy snack on the road

And here's a shot of both the on-foot and mounted Renlies, both of them are based on the Perry Henry VI, and built up from there!

Let me know what you think! Hopefully they've turned out ok! I might do another version of Renly in his green armour as well, as the 'battle Renly' (or Ser Garlan Tyrell)

[Edit 30/03, I've retaken the pictures, hopefully with better lighting now!)]

Hi again! Today I've got another update

So way back in the distant past I put together a few test Karstark Cavalry (back before the HYW plastic cavalry) so I thought I'd best finish that unit off, to represent some of the "dozen mounted lances" Arnolf Karstark brings with him down from Karhold.

I wanted them to feel a little more armored and wealthier (like Northern equivalents of men-at-arms or border-horse types), so the priority was adding mail to the WotR light-cavalry, or giving them 'medium-armour' type bodies, while also giving them the Agincourt heads, to unify them with the rest of the force. (My personal favourite is the one in the brigandine and bascinet)

And for a full group shot (and sudden lighting deterioration) here's a Column of Karstark

And an array of the Karstark force, a Cavalcade of Karstarks

Hopefully the force has come out ok!

Great job, the cavalry look the part - new photos really show them off.

You are building a really decent collection there
