An incredible build!
Although it looks like the maintenance crew left some oversize pliers in the middle section in that fourth picture :)

What sort of surface does the modge podge provide? I keep hearing it mentioned but haven't tried it (wondering about it for sealing mdf)

Like a thin coat of varnish. It doesn't  obscure fine details that I can tell with one coat, and dries transparent. Dries quickly in about 20 minutes. It is a sealer and glue so it's like painting tacky glue and seems to work well to most materials including regular mdf. Caution: I have not tried it on mdf buildings though; maybe someone has experience with. It's fairly new to me and still experimenting with it. It seals the cardboard so regular acrylic paint doesn't warp it, seals the edges too, binding them together and prevents flaying ( I also use superglue for this).
Well worth trying out.

Base coat painted. Now on to detail painting.

Thanks for that. I've had some in my Amazon wishlist for a while, so I'll pick up a bottle next time I'm buying stuff.

Sealing cardboard without warping makes it worth buying for that alone  :D

Ok…

1st; Wow!

2nd; Wow Again! It’s amazing what you’re able to build with pieces of cardboard and plastic!

3rd; What kind of glue are you using to glued pieces of cardboard together?

Thanks all.

@Calimero   Aleene's Original Tacky Glue; I use it for all my projects and swear by it. Superior to PVA. And a bit of superglue, the runny type,  to harden some of the cardboard edges and glue non-porous bits.
