Thanks buddy  :)

Here's a super quick mock-up of the legs.  Just with the feet, a length of hardwood dowel and a bit of wire coated in green stuff to extend the ankle slightly.

I also made myself a little texture stamp out of miliput to speed up the skin sculpting procedure, should work quite nicely I think...

This is genius!  :-*

Is it going to balance ok?

cheers mate  :)

I hope it'll balance alright-  the building currently weighs exactly 200g, the legs have no flex at the moment even when I put 1kg of weight on them so that allows me to make a few adjustments if needed and add paint etc. The centre of gravity seems to be right where the feet connect with the ground (the angle of the photo makes it look further back than it actually is)  of course it could all go very wrong, but I'm quietly confident for now...

...damn! now I've cursed it  ;D

Such fun. Reminds me of everything I love about anime, particularly Studio Ghibli.

Thanks guys  :)

Just a quick update for now on the legs- I fleshed out the armature with air drying clay over a layer of pva glue, then rolled out sheets of green stuff and applied it over the top before sculpting and pressing in the details.

I'm not too happy with the join between the metal feet and my sculpted legs, and after sleeping on it I remembered that during the late 1500s (when most of my games are set) cock-fighting was a thing in rural Japan.  While prosthetic spurs were not commonplace, they did exist, and would be the perfect strappy item to conceal the joins and mask the differing textures... more on that solution later

Nice legs! ;)

This is going to be a great model. Have you put any thought into colours or how you’re going to photograph it?

A Ghibli style mountain back drop would work well (think Howls Moving Castle)  8)
