Hi all

Yes another WIP, but this one will progress as the guys are coming over on January 20th!
Why is it that I need the pressure of a deadline to get anything done...?

I have 4 playing areas to set up for chapter 1 of the campaign. I also plan to set up a table with a more or less permanent collection of Cairo type buildings for chapters 2 and 3.

So I have the Graveyard pretty much figured out, and I have roughed out the adventure in the Netherlands. The other picture show the bare bones of the side show, I have it all planned in my head, just have to assemble everything.

The haunted hall remains in my head, with nothing started, yet.

As for Cairo, I have 6 newly built but not fully painted buildings that I want to use along with some older building that I used for Casablanca in a previous campaign. The big challenge, is cleaning off the table that I am going to use. :)
Thankfully I do not think I will need Cairo for next week.

The campaign will see 5 leagues going at it (I anticipate not having full attendance for every game day, as life often gets in the way)

That is a smart idea.  I never thought of setting up multiple playing areas.  I could manage two of them.

As always, these should be fun, evocative areas to game over!

What is the Netherlands without a mob herd of (possibly mad) cows...?  ;D

One down, 3-4 to go...
Nothing special in these set ups but trying my best to make them look nice with limited expenditure of time or money.
The hill is new for this adventure, and all the buildings were painted last week. A few small touches that I will get to if time allows.

Primed and first colours painted on the fences for the graveyard. Should be done tomorrow. Need the plinths assembled, and painted and some of the tombs painted too.

So it is the day after game day. I did manage to get the 5 games set up and we were able to play 4 games on Saturday. One of the five tables had to be worked on while two of the other tables were being played on, but it all worked out.

In the end two players were able to get a relic, one play failed, and two players played the villain role and did not play their own league (neither had actually generated their league in time to play) The player who failed in the 1st chapter scenario had a chance to try again in Cairo, but was again stymied.

The tables

Great looking set up. The circus themed table is a fantastic idea.

Is that not universal? :D

The well was well-done (pun unintended), with a flocked patch of ground in a space below the well head!

  • In glorious 3D!
Very good looking tables, I spot a glaring error though! You will be hard-pressed to find any sort of hills like that in most of the Netherlands but the southernmost parts.  ;D

Trust me I thought of that too, and even did research, but damn it I wanted a well a figure could go into!
I even carved down the hill to be less than an inch high.
On top of that it appears to be a dry well, as was pointed out above there is a flocked patch of earth at the bottom of the well!
I doubt that that is even possible in the Netherlands... :)

So I guess this took place in the south?
