The Last stand of Richard III
« on: January 27, 2018, 05:17:55 PM »
Been making this for a friend. Just the banner, groundwork and foliage to do. Only taken me two years, on and off!

If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

I have had other things on the go. a few commissions, plus a build of a Crusader & muslim army, a Lord of the Ring Harad/ Easterling army (From scratch). But, yes I know, a long time for 11 figures is a bit much! (naughty me)

Is this the car park in Leicester? The muddy ground sure looks realistic for Leicester.... lol
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

I'm glad I don't have to clean that armour after the battle.

Last stand of Richard III at Bosworth Field. Artistic license on the MAA as it believed that it was retinue foot that actually killed him.

Thanks, The water is a fab product called "Model Water" from Busch. So easy to use. Comes out white and a bit less consistency than PVA glue.

Just spread it where you need it and dries clear and hard after a few days.

Great work and solid commitment. I am particularly keen on the little stream, really nice use of water effects there. Did you find the product difficult to use?

so easy to use. Shake the bottle squirt where you need it (this will be great if you need puddles), then work with a lolly stick or brush (which washes out with water, ironically). It goes on white, so you can see exactly where it is going and wipes off where mot needed. Dries clear in a day or two. The thicker you put it on the longer it takes, but it does clear. Wonderful stuff. Will be using a lot more on other projects!
