Great to see Renaissance Turks (and so nicely painted). A fantastically versatile Army in so many ways.

I am dabbling in an Age of Reason campaign and thinking of including Turks . Lovely looking unit , thanks for posting .

Thanks for the comments. I had a 15mm Ottoman Turk army I used for George Gush's rules in the 80's and thoroughly enjoyed playing with them, so had the urge to recreate them again in 28mm.

Very very nice paint jobs, shame about the bendable lances though.

Yes, I might have another go at straightening the lances, otherwise replace them with wire. I'm still 50/50 on them as they match the pole-armed foot I have done, but they are probably not going to stand up to much handling or being knocked over.

I understand that purple was considered unlucky, by the way. Probably not worn much by Ottoman troops.
