That cab is a triumph, better than any shop bought kit I'd say. :-* ;D

I can only concur with the esteemed gentleman.

Quick question: Where are the henchmen from as I do not recognise them?

They are Bogeymen from Ral Partha’s Halloween Town range

Here’s one:

They are lovely, unique figures. I painted the one with knife and Drs bag many years ago in purple with green hair and white face as a sort of Victorian Joker. I thought he was crying out for that look.

Earlier I mentioned that at some stage I’d like to add a refuse wagon to the project. It’ll be a while yet but this is what I have in mind:

It’s from 1910 though so I’d be a bit dubious about its accuracy.

I think late 1890’s crap wagons were just simple, tall sided affairs and the shit was literally thrown over the side.
cheers

I don’t doubt there were still tall sided affairs in the 1910s but there were also more elaborate machines around just before the turn of the century. I’ve kind of gone for a compromise (because I like it  ;)).

And no I’m not making a steam driven tipper truck: this isn’t a VSF project!!!!  :D

Edit: Added a few more images of the ‘shovel it over the top’ type but  two of the open ones seem more attuned to clearing dung from the streets rather than collecting domestic/commercial refuse for recycling (yes, where there’s muck there’s brass).
