Love this thread! The Oshiro models are a revelation. The idea of an east end slaughterhouse is just brilliant.I look forward to see those painted!

@LT
Thanks and by all means.  :) To some extent the buildings remind me of those used for the Mons mini-series on the BBC a few years ago.

Thanks. The project is built around the idea that the Jack The Ripper murders were actually carried out by a somewhat tetchy vampire, the story of a serial killer being a coverup. The first victim was ‘found’ in Bucks Row by a couple of workers from the horse slaughterers in the parallel Winthrop Street. I’ve written a backstory that fleshes it all out but I won’t reveal that until the minis are ready.  My slaughterhouse is inspired by the real thing (inspired because the layout is different) and my intention is for the rest of the layout to be inspired by the surrounding locality as it was then.
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Bit of a project over the last couple of days: a scratchbuild of a Hansom Cab.

Still have much to do though need to cobble the base first (whip, curtains, reins, lanterns, etc)

Did those bad boys get you hooked on another project...?

Great work so far.
That cab is right 'andsome, so it is.

Hooked for sure. Runs very comfortably alongside the Old West though - some OW being easy converts to Victorian vampire hunters. And applause for the handsome Hansom joke 😂

As is usually the case I reflected on progress and decided the driver’s seat hung back too far, so a lot of work later and I’ve rebuilt both it and the driver to take off about 4mm.

BTW: the driver is originally from North Star’s “Africa!” range.
