If he’s on your team, you can never be quite sure that he’s not also on the other team.

I like that.
A lot!

From LPL9 “Whitechapel Slum Tour”

Thus far my favourite image from my LPL entries, quite probably because it is so much busier.

Prior to 3 weeks before LPL round 1 I had only painted 8 minis from my Victorian Gothic Horror collection. So in 12 weeks I have completed one terrain tile and about 60 minis. I’ve a few more minis on the desk that I’m presently working through, which will eliminate that current lead pile, with another full terrain tile ready for painting and a third half built. So, all in all, the LPL has been especially useful in moving the project forward. More so, I do believe that that with building kits already to hand and more kits coming my way for Xmas, I will be able to assemble another 4 tiles giving me 6 full size and 3 half size.

Back to the image, the lady in blue is by Bad Sqiddo, Cara The Witch. She had some sort of familiar in her raised hand so I cut it off and replaced it to create the gesture shown. The father figure is The Undertaker from Knuckleduster Miniatures. The lady in mauve is from the Ripper Street set by Rogue Miniatures. Both of the ladies’ maids are by Casting Room Miniatures, from The Working Class pack.

Lovely job.  Thanks for letting us know who makes the figures, they all fit in so well to your setting.

Thanks all.  :)

For what it’s worth, I’m also contemplating a solo/cooperative framework to tack onto the FFOL TOH rules (building up from other existing FFOL mechanics like the rules for zombies, search points, etc) for a game that is bit like 30 Days of Night, albeit set in the Victorian era, set in the East End, with nicest weather, and with the humans hunting not hiding.

Eradicate the scourge!

Nicer weather than in 30 days of night (even accounting for the Victorian smog!)  :D

From LPL10 “Pinkertons in London Town”

In Ripper Street, a story line featured Pinkertons in the East End, from whence this “American” themed entry came. I also styled the image on Reservoir Dogs.   ;) :D

The minis were sourced as follows:

1,3,4
Pinkerton Detectives by Artizan. I removed spurs from boots and reshaped some of the hats to make them less Old West in style

2
I’d thought this was a Knuckleduster minibut I can’t find it on their website so I have no idea. If anyone recognises it please let me know.

5,6

From their Ripper Street set, these were by Rogue Miniatures. I added a beard to No.5

Here’s a bit more moody shot from further away and higher angle:

If the bases weren’t there in that overhead shot it would look real  8)

Great use of LPL! I love this project.  :-* :-* I think that the fellow in the top hat in the slum tour vignette is the best of the lot, something about his attitude that your painting brings out. Bravo!

Thanks both.

I agree that the overhead shot has a very natural look about it. I might take out the bases and sepia it. I also agree re the chap in the top hat - he’s a stern fellow (an investment banker, so it’s quite possible the anarchists might try and kill him).
