What Happened to Critical Mass Games Mechs ?
« on: February 02, 2018, 01:47:31 AM »
So many moons ago I picked up a starter set for Critical Mass games....uh game at a convention after a demo. It promptly went into the Bitzbox  when  my attention wavered and I found the resin that the Heavy Mechs were made of was garbage.

Fast forward to now and I'm assembling some stuff for two generic 6mm sci fi forces. The infantry is way off....but the light mechs work great (their resin is also much superior). Looking for more it seems the company had died and sold its moulds to Ral Partha Europe.

Problem is it appears that Ral Partha Europe is only holding the (metal) infantry. So the question is, who got the mechs ?

As I understood it Ral Partha Europe has all of CMG's stuff but they're adding them into their store slowly rather than all at once.

I really have no idea what I'm doing.

I'd heard this as well.

I am glad that someone picked up the range because, although I don't collect them, the miniatures are outstanding :) . If I was into 15mm, I'd be all over them. Even in 28mm, I managed to get a few of the mechs into my armies :)

I had the good fortune to pick up some the original painted figures from CMG's website on eBay recently so I have the email address of the previous owner.

I've emailed him to ask who now owns the resin range so I'll update the thread when I get a reply.

Hey all I was one of the previous owners of CMG, the ranges where all sold to RAL Partha Europe.  If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Regards

Craig

Looks like Craig replied directly  :)
