UVS 008/04/2018 - The Baron
« on: June 11, 2017, 08:22:50 AM »
Anvil Industries does a range of resin multi-part figures scaled at the human end of Heroic. They are available in Regiment packs that build a "standard" ten man squad.

At Salute I bought the Martian Orbital Fusileers squad.

It builds ten men in armour, equipped with "Tesla Disintegrators". There is an option for one man to be equipped with a Fusion gun.

The figures go together well (better than a certain brand of plastic figures), having locating pegs on the arms (probably not possible with injection moulding).

Here is my seven man squad.

For transport I am probably going to use the Antenocitis Hunchback APC.

I've been playing a lot of the Dead Space video games recently and I've been meaning to pick some of these up cause I reckon they are some of the best options available for that gothic space suit look

They are really nice figures,  I chose them for their resemblance to the Dennis the Dustbin look of the combat armour in the Laserburn illustrations from my misspent youth.

Sprue photographs and build information here http://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Regiments

They also scale well with my standard 28mm figure.

Those are quite nice, really like the aesthetic.  Good size, too.  With GW succumbing to terminal scale creep in 40K 8th ed its nice to see someone holding the line on reasonable sizing.

Very nice looking figures and your paint job really makes them stand out well.

Arch Baron Drumpf.

Hasslefree Arch Baron Drumpf.

Even with all his power, he has a bald patch.

Great combination.

I know that Hasslefree sculpted the Baron, but where would one purchase a Baron mini? Thanks

A very good question.
I bought it at Salute 2017 in metal. There was also the "Spaceclad" version in metal but that is not just NSFW, it is also NSFM!

On their site they only have the Spaceclad one in resin, it might be that it there has been a problem with the mould and it might appear later.
