MK4 Beutepanzer
« on: April 23, 2009, 08:03:28 AM »
I've finished painting my Great War Miniatures MK4 Tank as a captured German Beutepanzer (With only one Stupid mistake,  I wonder who will be the 1st to notice it :D )

The sponson is upside down! Do I win some cake?

Seriously, I would not have noticed if you had not set me looking for faults. Absolutely bang-up job there. Pure class.

Great tank :-* :-*
Never noticed the mistake until better people (or is that picky people lol) pointed it out but you did say it was a captured one so maybe the original one had damaged sponson?s.
The German mechanics fixed it up the best they could but as they didn?t have any plans they didn?t know which way up the sponson went. ;)
That would be my story and I would stick to that! :D

Just to add to Arrigo's pain (because I'm evil) GWM miniatures are very nice indeed. I've got my first three packs of them beside my keyboard as I write this, and they're going to be a worthy addition to my pulpy forces. Pity they're a couple of weeks late to the first round of LPL3...

Sweet tank, great painting scheme, and not being a historical gamer in any meaningful sense, who cares if some bit is upside down?  :D
