By way of introduction - my 15mm Weird WW2
« on: April 05, 2011, 12:30:09 PM »
Since I finally joined up, I thought I'd share what I've done in this genre so far:

GK Roundhead (my first GK mini):

GK General Early and FoW scout car:

GK Loki, converted with antenna and FoW commander:

GK Valkyrie:

Eureka Sci-Fi Germans:

Red Skull FoW conversion, to command my brother's Panzergrenadiers:

Nice work!

I'm often attracted to the idea of 15mm, just to get away with doing stuff just like this: big clunking machines and hordes of tiny infantry!

Thanks for sharing :)

All excellent stuff!

I really like the subtle wear damage on the walkers.  It really helps give these tiny little guys a sense of being the massive machines they are to represent.

Also, how can one not like the Red Skull in disco mode?

Really good to see you over here NSA.

I think some of the minis that you paint have a more interested audience over here.

Aw shucks guys, glad you like them :)  And hi, supervike... you get around :)

I'm often attracted to the idea of 15mm, just to get away with doing stuff just like this: big clunking machines and hordes of tiny infantry!

It's so true!  I would never paint all this stuff in 28 mm, I'm slooooow.  And lazy.

I'm actually starting a conversion project to make a Khurasan 15 mm sci-fi walker into a Russian WWW2 model, basically clunking it up a bit to 1940's tech levels and throwing in some FoW infantry for basing interest.  Then I'll have all the major Western factions represented (except Italy, I guess.  Are they considered "major"?)
