To be honest, I really don't like the X-wing game, it would have to be FFoL Starfighters for me  :)

Seconded. Starfighters works really well with the X-Wing miniatures.

I didn't even know that FFOL had a Starfighter game...shame they don't have one to replace Star Wars Armada as well

{goes off to buy FFOL Straighter}

I read about that, but as I understand it, it scales the whole game up, with single fighters becoming squadrons etc. Ideally, I'd have a rules set that could do individual fighters ánd capital ships in the same game.

Because I have a bunch of corvette-class ships for X-Wing that I would love to use as intended. Would FFoL Starfighters accomodate this?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

It would as you can ‘build’ larger ships in starfighter scale. There are larger ship examples in the book but it’s a toolbox at the end of the day and you can pretty much do what you want. I certainly intend to  lol

James has dented my credit card this week already ... and now I've ordered FFOL Starfighters as well... happy everyone?  lol

I’m sure your vendor of FFoL goodness is pleased!

I have the Starfighter rules but haven’t played yet. If they work like the stompy robot rules, they will give a fun game with lots of decisions to make about how to use your hand of cards to get the best out of your spacecraft while carrying out the mission.

I love the scratch built fighter, too, by the way - great painting and the level of surface detailing is beautiful!

Thanks again  :)

Here we have the might of the Corporate Authority on Nevarro. Haven't got names for them all yet and I've still got a couple of riot troopers to do with shields and batons. There are two specialists on either side armed with sniper rifle, heavy blaster, missile launcher and a mazer (like a radiation gun that ignores cover).

Yes, very tactical but very cinematic at the same time.

Thirded. The included pregenerated profiles help with speeding up time to play.

Reminds me, I must get around to someday using it for Star Trek.

Hmmm, don't think their track records demonstrates effectiveness lol

They sure look mighty pretty, but I would not describe them as "The might of the Corporate Authority" lol
