Lost my phone this morning
« on: March 23, 2018, 01:41:00 PM »
Lost my phone this morning. I believe I may have slipped it into the little one's school book bag instead of my pocket, because I had it in the playground but didn't have it as soon as I left the school.
That is my hope anyway. My exwife will find it if so, but I won't see her until sunday morning to find out. Nobody can contact me..
It is quite restful without the mobile phone, it is like being back in 1975 again.... I wonder if I will get a bit more painting done?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

It's amazing how much freedom you suddenly get once you're cut free from technology.

You might need some two pee's (2p) so you can use the call box at the top of the road - now that is 1975 :-)

For fun I put mine in a drawer at the front door for a month.

The first week was like withdrawal. After that, it got easy and peaceful.

I have people panic when I inform them "I was away from my phone", as if it's a crime. :D

I remember the day when you called someone (landline, old school) and whoever answered said, they are out, that’s it, just not there, sorry don’t know when they will be home........

You mean we are not in 1975????
(I do have a mobile phone, but it is not switched on. It is there so that I can annoy other people, not so that other people can annoy me)

Love watching old episodes of 'The Sweeney'...

"Phone it in to the factory George, straight away!"

"Right Guv, drop me at the next phone box!"
