Coming in 3rd behind Andy and Mark is no mean achievement  8)

I've played against both of them a fair bit and, tbh, not being completely annihilated is also an achievement  ;)

Hopefully see you at the GM as I think I'm being roped in again to catherd and keep score

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It was a nice day, and the results were just a bonus. I got to see some interesting games being played next to us - To the Strongest and Swordpoint both look fun.

Since Britcon I took a slight step back from the hobby but am now gearing up again for casual Frostgrave campaigning with the London crowd, as well as thinking what's next for Saga. I think I'm going to take the plunge and rework a lot of my snowy terrain, as I'm not totally happy with all of it. The newer stuff I'm pleased with, but the older stuff (trees especially) not so much.

Before I go back and start stripping things down to their constituent parts though, I picked up the GW LOTR Rohan watchtower + palisades fairly recently, and couldn't resist converting the tower to a more generic Dark Ages type structure. I won't lie, some Age of Empires II inspiration came through here as well :)

Thoughts so far?

Well, as they say - all things come to an end, and all ends give way to a new beginning. As true of the hobby as it is of anything else. If you've followed along with this log for the past four (4! Wow!) years, thank you so much for the encouragement and the feedback along the way - Lead Adventure Forum is an amazing, never-ending fount of inspiration, community spirit and enthusiasm, and I'm truly grateful to everyone who commented here. Over several years of travelling and living in various countries, LAF and a few other online communities kept me in touch with the hobby and provided endless inspiration. I hope this log kept a few people entertained and maybe inspired along the way.

For now, this log has served its purpose and I'm going to be wrapping up the separate logs I've kept for The Dark and the Black Order. Neither project is over, though - there will be an entirely new thread encompassing all future projects coming soon. Probably about the same time that I launch a brand new website dedicated to all things hobby-related, likely early in the New Year (or possibly sooner if I get things sorted out).

What website, you ask? Well, here's a sneak peek attached below.

Thanks for all the encouragement and the sense of community - look forward to sharing more with you guys very soon!
