Cromwell and Bren Carrier
« on: March 25, 2018, 06:54:53 PM »
Well a change from German Paras and Yanks in the snow, I painted up a couple of British vehicles for my Bolt Action/ CoC games. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to painting vehicles but I'm fairly chuffed with how these turned out.

Yes. Good job, a light touch on the weathering is better than overdoing it if you are not sure. Back in my 1/72 days I ruined many a tank with over-enthusiastic ferocious drybrushing!
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Looking good Jeff. As vodkafan said, the weathering is well balanced.

Nice work :) It's true that it's easy to overdo weathering (done it myself) - many vehicles weren't operational long enough to get particularly weathered, so subtle is probably better.

Thank you very much for commenting ladies and gents, my take on the weathering is 'less is more' lol.
However having driven 432 armoured personnel carriers in Germany I will say the tracks and wheels can carry a lot of mud and after only a few days on exercise all the colours of the vehicle, equipment and stowage merged into a nice dark grey lol
