The Samarkand Imperative....
« on: April 01, 2018, 07:46:30 PM »
The winter snows had melted, and the Afghan army marched north west through the mountain passes and onto the shimmering plains of Transcaspia.  Their objective: the liberation of the Holy Cities of Central Asia. Only the Great Powers and Bukhara to contend with, their were confident that the dice this time would fall their way....
"...and as always, we are dealing with strange forces far beyond our comprehension...."

All limitations are self imposed.  Work hard and dream big.

Empress. I commissioned them. Sculpted by Hicks Pasha. They are superb.

Those militia have turned out really nice! (Must put some paint on mine sometime   :) )

Looks great, Steve! (PS what figures have you used for the brown uniformed regulars on the bridge? You’re given me ideas!).

Meanwhile Trotsky, Head of the Red Army, arrives in the region to take charge.  Here he is addressing the Soviet youth and horticultural movement. All figures seen here painted by that talented chap Steve Dean
