If folk don't already know, "The Works" down here in the South-West UK is flogging lots of cheap Batman vs. Escapees from the above institution sets. As is Poundstretcher

All our local Works stores have disappeared....................

Whilst the forum was down, I picked up a load of DC Heroclix origins boosters from my local poundstetcher for 99p each, plus an Anti-Monitor for £2.99.

Poop.
We're 40+ miles from the nearest Works or Poundstretcher.
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

The Works in lovely Rochdale, Lancashire has the Arkham sets as well, and In Store (Poundstretcher) has Batman boosters, Fantastic Four starter sets and the Ant-Monitor.
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Well lets just say that Barnstaple's The Works DID have a load of Arkham, Avengers and Monsters & Mutations sets.... up until about 12:20 this afternoon!

;)

(Loads of those starwars Pocketmodel TCG stuff there too, have a real soft spot for them but resisted, have enough little Ties and Xwings to keep me happy, (and bombers, interceptors, A wings, V wings, B wings, Y Wings, star destroyers, shuttles...... ).

Bought another Asylum pack today, make me feel better as my better half was going back up north after a week  :( (that's my excuse for another impulse purchase). Got a feeling there's going to be alot of swapsies in the bazaar soon. My future mother-in-law has picked up another 4 Batman clix sets form poundstretchers for me as well.  :)
