In anticipation of starting to play TMWWBK and realising that we don’t have that many Sky Martians I’ve added a few to an existing clan; The Kaas Ak Thaal. The Head Takers although Von Stypher Dycks translation has it as The Takers of Heads and given that Von Stypher Dyck is the final call for most things Martians that’s what we’ll call them

According to Von Stypher Dyck it’s apparently a loud, dry hissing sound that mimics the winds in the canyons. This is debatable however as no-one has really been left alive to report as such

This is so true. Professor Ebenezer Von Stypher-Dyke appears to be the only man alive who has ever heard the sound. In his 1891 Volume "My travels on Mars" he recalls vividly how the Sky Martians would mimic the sound of the winds and when they made their war cry and it was like nothing he had ever heard before or since.

"I pity the poor fellow on the receiving end of the Sky Martian attack" He wrote. "The war cry such as it was he believed would disorientate the target and leave them in a fearful state unable to properly defend themselves. "Several times I witnessed my Sky Martian friends swoop from the skies on their fast moving skiffs and just before making contact with their enemy they would in unison let out this piercing sound, a high pitched hissing whistling noise, almost deafening to my Earther ears. It would leave me disorientated and giddy for a minute or so".
 
It appears with each Sky Martian clan there would be a slight variation on the tone and delivery of the war cry, but in each case the result would be the same, chilling to the bone!
