Is there a Konflikt 47 painting guide?
« on: April 26, 2018, 03:44:12 PM »
I've been into Bolt Action/Konflikt 47 for a few now and I've got no problems painting the regular Infanty,Tanks etc but it's the Konflikt 47 stuff that I might've have some painting problems with.

Now some of the things like Walkers and some of the vehicles(or parts of them)I don't think I'll have a problem with but it's the other stuff mainly Infantry in various suits etc.

So is there any kind of painting guide for Konflikt 47 or can someone point me in the right direction for painting guides?

Thanks
Michael

You might try checking the BA forums to see what other people are doing.   I think that one of the best parts about the weird setting is that your no longer constrained by historical accuracy (far be it from authentic!), and can let your imagination  run wild...  Historical accuracy becomes more of a guide and less the goal.  Happy painting brotha.

Great question I think. I am not into Konflikt 47, but am a big fan of Weird War. or my armies I have gone back to the 1939-40 look of things and camo schemes. My German flying saucer will be in the three tone scheme used in the SCW, but my super tank will just be panzer gray. Infantry uniforms will be standard, but the robots will be a light feldgrau.

For my British Commandos I am using space troopers but painting their helmets green, while the suit is in the camo pattern of the jacket they wore, with plain army brown trousers. paratroopers will also be in a space suit, but with a maroon painted helmet. Their heavy walker will be in the brown drab and black camo of mid war just because I like it. Not sure what I'll do the hover AC in yet.

I am using the space suit guys because the back story for my approach is that the war has drug on well past 1945 and the technology has greatly advanced ..... maybe some not of this world assistance???? But he atmosphere has become unbreathable by humans so the regulars all wear gas masks and the special guys wear space suits.

You really can let your imagination guide you because the whole thing is fantasy and what if.

Hope this helps give you food for thought,

Terry

I just continued painting stuff along the lines of my existing WW2 stuff.

British armour in PSC British Tank spray and Vallejo Russian Uniform Green.
Galahad suit and Cromwell.

Galahad and British Steel.

Lend Lease M100.

Paras in a version of the original with Green body armour (Westwind).

Other infantry in a similar manner.

My German walkers are in a version of the three tone tank camo but none are finished. Spinne with unpainted Totenkontrolfahrzeug.

Other armour will be in versions of historical paint, like this IR equipped Puma.

Still undecided about the Waffentrager, historical undercoat, production undercoat or ambush (historical or urban).

I do have one Projekt X 1/48 scale German suit in a very spotty camo.

I hope these are of use.

I like the pictures and it does give me some ideas.

Granted my painting skills aren't as good as other's but I do okay.

I pretty much did the same, painting my Brits in WW2 schemes.
You can always use the painted examples on the Warlord site as well.

Cheers,
It’s a Melunsine MaK (?, don’t know if that’s quite right) with some bits added.
