Those are great minis, Doc!

Surprised I haven't added them to my VSF collection. Maybe I should.

First time I've seen them anywhere than the Eureka site, and now I'm thinking I need  a unit of them.

I have seen the minis but never seen a full game lineup of Pig Tickling before. They look great. Love the wackiness.

I don't quite recognize the two wallahs in the background? Who makes them?

Thanks all- I've had them for years, if not for the LPL 'British' theme they'd still be bare metal.

I don't quite recognize the two wallahs in the background? Who makes them?

There are two versions of Pig Tickler miniatures (two different referees, stokers, different lancer types, I think one version of pig had separate legs). Sculpting style is pretty different on the two versions. When I was inquiring about buying through Eureka USA, I seem to recall that they had some old versions on hand so I asked if I could get the old stokers along with the new ones (I mean, why not?). I always assumed the ones in back are the new versions, but I may be wrong because the USA and AU websites show the closer two. It's been a long time since I bought them :)

EDIT: Looks like I still have the emails I sent to Eureka. I bought them from the AU site in 2012. When they arrived the set was different sculpts from the website pictures (I think they still haven't updated the photos). I asked about it because I needed a couple more lancers and they offered to send me the old versions of the minis if they had them, since that was what I was expecting. Long story short I wanted a few other things too and since I wasn't really griping about the switch anyway I bought the old versions along with some other stuff. It's a funny shopping list (includes "Hussar girls pillow fighting"  lol).

Whilst admittedly I've taken a shellacking here - entirely justified, no arguments there!  :D - I should take the opportunity to mention that the Blue Moon Boxer Rebellion range, of which mine here are Royal Marines - are really, really, nice figures, lovely to paint.

In case anyone was on the fence about getting any, I probably haven't done them justice, but they are well worth it. I shall be acquiring more once the lead pile is done.

Stands nothing on the gorgeous painting of my competitor here though - terrific job, one of the reasons why I enter is to get that sort of inspiration to improve my painting.

I was wondering what manufacturers those were from! Nice terrain too, I could use some rough irregular escarpment type stuff like that.

The Terrain bits are from Red Dragon Gaming

http://www.reddragongaming.co.uk/

Really good pieces - those in this photo I painted myself, but I've got some others pre-painted from them which are great, lovely space fillers on the table (I'm not on commission from Red Dragon or Blue Moon!  lol)
