The silver dashes are reflective too, but our state police cars apparently changed to the yellow from 2015. I'm not sure what federal cars look like, to be honest.

I've been working on scatter scenery.

Advertisers generally advertise their products to people who can afford them, so this will hopefully help add to the atmosphere of being a place for the rich jet setting class.

Mindful that I’m easily bored, I’ve made the adverts themselves on a separate piece of card so I can slide them out and change them occasionally. Amongst other things, I should probably change the date on the ‘Monaco’ poster, unless someone is planning a very long way ahead…

Apparently the feds deal with railway stations here (amongst other things). Will have to have a look sometime.

Love the billboards! I printed my billboard signs off on magnetic paper. I put metal bases on the face of the billboard itself so you can slap whichever advertisement you want on it. Allows me to use them for my modern games, Africa insurgency games, etc.

Keep it coming -- your island is looking great!!  :-*

I'd assumed they would be pretty frequently changed and therefore relatively clean, but I see the point. It could help hide the dates, certainly...

I sometimes wonder why I’m like this. Most people here, create scenarios in a couple of minutes based on a cursed temple, a mad scientist creating giant spiders, or the return of Cthulhu, and have at it. My scenario is based around the Imperial Preference trade treaties of the 1930’s.

Don’t panic; I’m not going into too much detail. In the real world, Britain got into a bit of a spat with Argentina over trade, it was quickly resolved and everyone moved on with their lives.

In my world, this escalated into a trade war between much of South America and Europe, which bunged up trade, which cost money. This made some rich people upset, so a number of “free ports” were set up which could trade with both sides so they technically could get around the problem, without the politicians looking weak.

Ascension was one of these ports, which made it the place to be for traders, smugglers, et c, which gives me lots of possible stories, but also means I have to make “cargo” to fit them. Hence the big piles of boxes; to represent goods/contraband being transported/traded/smuggled/stolen/pirated.

That’s some serious ‘gubbins’ you’ve got there.

Nice crates.  The fact that they are at least partly covered in what looks like camo netting leads me to believe that somebody doesn't want them seen...
