Battle of Culloden Day
« on: April 16, 2019, 11:24:49 AM »
Today marks the anniversary of the Battle of Culloden fought on this day in 1746. The last pitched battle on British soil and the end of the Jacobite Rebellion.

I'm currently painting my figures and looking for more inspiration. Does anyone have good pictures of the Jacobite or Government armies?

I visited the battlefield in 2004 and took lots of photos. These are the only ones I have of the uniforms in the museum (none of them original, I assume). I don't know if they will be of any use to you?

Snapcase, a wig and a red coat and you're it!
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss
