I agree with Fifteens Away, your groundwork  needs a bit of work to lift it up to the standard of the figures. The wood shavings were a bit of a mistake, I feel. I have made similar mistakes in the past on my figures, so you are not alone!
Personally The first thing I do is put filler around and between the bases to blend in, so that it does not look like each figure is standing on a little hill. This is a bit tricky when they are on a multiple figure base but I use a thin coffee stirrer stick to apply the filler between the bases.
I think your Irish are your best unit so far.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

The figures are good, maybe some lighter areas on the faces, nose, cheeks, forehead, to make them stand out more.
As already stated, your bases are the weak point. Try painting all the base in an earthy colour, including the edges, then use fine grit and gravel to cover it. Paint this in earth tones, then drybrush lighter browns on. Top this with scatter foliage and grass tufts and they will be much improved.

I continue to publish photos of my army. The figures are temporarily not placed on coasters.
Please tell me your opinion about the bases.

So to be continued ....

Nice pictures and many action poses! Great!

The Rebel figures are full of character, nicely ragged and battle worn .

Thank!! These figures will work both in the dirama and on the battlefield in the game!
