Did a rebase of a prepainted Rackham Griffin Praetorian guard... painted a few more details on him... using him as a prisoner this weekend in a game of Dragon Strike! Also started on this Rackham Clone Dasyatis from the Scorpion army of Dirz.... he's barely got the base colors on.... neat looking guy.

Thanks... i'm new to miniature painting as of last fall. I've been painting on canvas since i was 10, so I know about mixing colors and layering... it's been a journey learning to apply it to little guys. But, i've looked at a lot of peoples work on here and follow some amazing mini artists on instagram and have learned a lot. Still learning... my stuff doesn't look great at all compared to some guys stuff on here... this forum has an amazing base of talent and creativity.

Nice to see Confrontation is not forgotten. I should get back to my Uraken army.....

I don't recognise the mounted Griffin though?

I'm fairly sure it's from their ill-fated pre-painted plastics range.

I too love what you've done with the bases. Really gives them an impressive look.

I really have no idea what I'm doing.

Thanks for the kind words... I really love making bases... brings a lot a realness to them. Yes the mounted Griffin is from their plastic line... it's the only place to get mounted Griffins aside from the mounted Thallions, which i have not gotten around to painting yet... That one happens to be Sir Thurbard....

Here is my Kelt Sessairs Minotaur commander I just finished... and a group photo of the clan to date...

Looks like a fun game!

Wasn't Dragon Strike an old TSR game that used a VHS tape? Or is this a different game?

That was it! my VHS is still in the box in the plastic... it's been uploaded to youtube and is notoriously horrible!... the game is somewhat similar to Heroquest, which I also love, but my game group is large and Dragon Strike accommodates up to 6 adventurers... It's good for one epic map... Heroquest is much better for campaign, because you can level up and upgrade your weapons/spells with the gold you've collected during the previous adventure... i'll still say some of the best games were made in the late 80's and 90's...
