Great work throughout the thread! Will stay tuned. The scenic bases and woad stand out and make the barbarians memorable figures.

Some photo tips.

1) Use a bigger f-stop (smaller aperature). I use between 7 and 8. This increases the depth of field, allowing you to get all three figures in focus, even if one is a bit behind another. This will mean you will need to keep the shutter open longer, so a tripod is a must.

2) Three lights is best, two right in front either side of the camera, and one not-quite-directly above, but a little in front. If you have just one, make sure it is even more in front, and not directly above.

3) Cropping enhances the pictures dramatically, and with these photos a bit more exposure and contrast would also do well.

Thanks for the great advise.. I definitely need a front light, but I'm currently taking the photos with my phone. Not ideal, but easy enough for sharing. I'm not trying to win any awards... it's all just for fun.

photo tip if you are only using your phone use a light grey background. When you use white the camera wants to make it a neutral grey so the figures look really dark, if you use a light grey the camera will not compisate and your figures will look mush lighter.

Finished basing my Ram army of Acheron skeletons... included a pic with the Angel too.... I wanted my bases to look like scorched earth ash... so raiding the kitchen herbs was necessary!
