Battle of Madras 1793 - Devon Wargames Group
« on: May 08, 2022, 11:09:53 PM »
This weekend I and friends from the Devon Wargames Group played our first game in our French Revolutionary/Napoleonic War campaign at the Legionary Show in Exeter hosted by the Exmouth Imperials.

We had a great time playing the game whilst chatting to familiar faces and visitors to the show interested in seeing a large age of sail game played with 1:700th models and we got a surprising result as well, that leaves the end of 1793 with a very positive result for the French and all to play for for the British going into 1794.

If you would like to know more and see pictures from our game together with a summary of the ideas behind the campaign using the board game Sovereign of the Seas from Compass Games, then just follow the link to JJ's

Often it is better to remain silent and let people think you are stupid than to open your mouth and remove all possible doubt.
