Is it wrong of me to want to see these two entries in tabletop combat against each other...?  ;)

OOh, great idea to use those Dark Eldar warp beasts as Hounds of Tindalos.

Thank you. I liked it immensely. I wish I had been able to get a better photo, but I sent in several all at once due to time constraints, and this was one of the less than perfect ones. Oh well, I'll do better with the next one!

That's indeed a terrific idea! The hounds look great this way. The colors on the Cthulhu-entry really pop and make the miniatures look alien which fits them very well. The best thing for me is that the paintjob of the first one finally shows the Great Cthulhu very well...I haven't found a good picture of RAFM's Cthulhu on the web so far and never knew for sure whether I would order one or not. Now I know (and no, I won't order one. I think the sculpt is really lacking).
The Sikhs still look great with their uniform painting and coherent look. And yes, a real battle between both entries will be a treat...although the Sikhs will probably run away insane after loosing 1D100 Sanity ;)

Sinewgrab you really outdid yourself.

The Great Cthulhu is amazing.  Love the color!

Well done!

I am not keen on drybrushing as an all-purpose method for hiliting. It's the Sikhs for me.

Well, aren't we just Mister Fancy Pants?  ;D ;)

Actually, this is the third version of the paintjob on the big fella. I tried doing a blend technique on him, but ran into two issues:

1: This bastard is HEAVY. I have severe tendonitis in my right elbow, and manipulating him got very hard to do very quickly.

2: There are too many little bumps and bits to try blend highlights on. My patience ran our very quickly - and I had used a drybrush technique on the warp beasts, so I tried it. I have to say I was satisfied with the results.

And lets face it, those Sikhs are damned fine. Beautiful work on those.

Have you seen the Horrorclix Cthulhu, best sculpt.

Save for the Sikhs, no matter how stalwart, are doomed to fail. Even if they've got a nice cannon off-screen. Should have gotten the bigger caliber...  lol

The Giant bug-thing looks awesome. The shading on the Sikhs is great.
