Civilian motorcycle and sidecar. (concept sculpts.)
« on: July 16, 2018, 11:14:45 AM »
I've been asked if I'd add some civilian motorcycle figures to the follies range.
Here's the first throw of the dice.
It's mainly existing parts from the range( note ..Clyno handle bars not Norton simply because I've used all my cast Norton ones.As they're only required for an aesthetic.Clyno ones are fine.)

All musings welcome.

Very nice!

Perhaps it could come with a separate mounting point for the sidecar, and alternate heads with goggles and a scarf? (No young lady would care to get insects in her teeth or eyes).

Whatever happened to the 'Adventurer' motorcycle sculpt that was showcased in a 1st Corps ad a while back? Did it get released?
Remember: the dice are not your friends!

Fantastic! :-* I love the fact that there’s no spokes, as if the wheels are turning! 8)

Ditto what Grimjack said about helmets and scarves (and goggles). Other than that a Great addition to the range!

I'm glad you chaps like the idea.

The sidecar is a separate item .I'll take on board you'd like some figures with head gear. But this set is more or less finished. I've another three planned which are a little more specific (slightly more pulp ).
But I'll make another Mr & Mrs combo. I've popped an old picture of the military combo as my intention was to have civilians bare headed or in floppy hats just have a distinct visual difference in the range.
As for the adventures motorcycle it's been shelved its actually never been cast. The one in ad,is a concept. It was all set to be cast ,but never received any interest so the cars became the priority, and its just gathered dust since.

That said it'll go into a mould with the others.

Also the combi riders will more than likely be sold separately on bikes.Plus a couple of generic single riders. I've already made a generic hero/spy single figure.

An Air Raid Warden riding the bike with a Verger as the passenger in the sidecar would be jolly good  :D

After I recovered laughing ...... was thinking what’s his name in The Eagle Has Landed? Strap a shotgun to his back. Works for me with the lights on.😬

I was tempted with a nod to the Last Crusade (I'm not so sure I've time to build a German bike,or more accurately a Russian one.) using a Norton combi.
I've dollied out a vicar and verger already .I'm also tweaking an older unreleased set of figures to go with a combi.

Quite like the idea of a rider with a shotgun. I'd thought of doing an American homeguard volunteer however in the photo . Other than the trench broom strapped to his back,he's the same as the British reconnaissance combi crews I've already done. So the marsh warden it is.
