When I was there a few years ago, I only remember finding one, called Gamers World.  At the corner of Strand Street and Jervis Street I believe, close to the river.  Not a lot of historical things if i recall correctly, a good bit of board games though and a good amount of Dropzone Commander at the time.  That was in 2016, and things might have changed.  I think there was a GW nearby that I passed, but didn't go in.  That was the only one I know of though, but there could be more.

If you don't already have the Gamefor app, free for Android and IOS, you should - see www.Iamgamefor.com.

For Greater Dublin it shows

Games Workshop - Lower Liffey Street
Gamers World -  1 Jervis Street
The Warchest - Hardys Lane, Dun Laoghaire

Another resource is the Irish Games Stores map, set up by a contributor to the Boardgamegeek site:

Hope these help. (though both are in early days of population)

Gamers world is your best bet. Lots of board games, 40k

Pretty central too

Hi. I am a Dubliner. I would add "Marks Models" on Hawkins Street, for terrain, models, trains, 1/72 figures and paints.

GamersWorld use to have more historical stuff but is still a nice place to browse and host games. The GW store is only 5 mins away from it and Marks Models another 5 mins. All 3 are in the very centre of the city, close to the Lliffey river.

Tney are near the Millenium Bridge (GamersWorld), Halfpenny Bridge (GW) both just north of the river , and Rosie Hackett Bridge (MM) just south of the river.

If you are passing further afield. there is the "Hobby Den" in Kildare town, in the neighbouring county of Kildare.

I have not been to the "Warchest" yet but Dun Laoghaire can be reached in c.25 mins on a DART from city centre.

Also, Collins Barrcks is very close on the LUAS (tram) red line (Museum stop) and has a good, free Irish military history section 1600 to modern, with current special sections commemorarting 1914-1918, inc. the 1916 Rising in Dublin.

Have a nice trip!

One on nearly every corner isn’t there? They’re called pubs. :D
