What do you think of these Deep Ones
« on: August 01, 2018, 04:43:43 PM »
Here at North Star, I've had some Deep Ones made as part of a small Cthulhu range. What do you think? Are they a little short?

I'd personally say they're maybe late stage transformation from humans to deep ones rather than being actual deep ones but the sculpts themselves are fantastic!

Very nice, I would definitely be adding these to my Mythos collection.
We haul ours to kick theirs.

I wanted these to be creeping around Innsmouth.

Very nice, particularly like the creeping one.

Nice, but would be better to see them painted as they look a little cartoony there - the top hat seems oversized for example

Great to hear there is a Cthulhu line in the offing, any chance of Mr Copplestone chipping in for investigators and monsters?

Yes. Please keep us advised as to when these make it to the ordering stage. I have a lot if Deep Ones, but as noted by someone earlier I think these will make fantastic Innsmouth denizens.

All look good to me apart from the one in the top hat.  Not too sure about that one, but perhaps a larger photo would help.  Just keep looking at it and thinking about Toad of Toad Hall, so more comical than menacing like the others are.

Bingo! That's what it made me think of...

If you put that hat on the model next to him, the Drac Amaeric deepone thing, it would cover him to his waist

I think we're going to see about printing them off a tiny bit bigger.

The Top Hat one is Marsh from Innsmouth. I think there was something comical yet horrific about the character, changing to a deep one but hanging onto wearing his clothes. He'll be an option, you won't have to buy him if he's not to your taste.

I think bigger would work better (going from the memory of playing CoC years and years ago).

Absolutely love them. Top Hat guy is probably my favourite!
