Loking for a 15mm skeletal dragon
« on: August 05, 2018, 12:47:38 PM »
Hi all!

I'm want to replace the cardboard token of one board game with miniatures. The game is Rise of the Necromancers:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sorelosergames/rise-of-the-necromancers

So far, I'll be using Dark Alliance 1/72 plastic undead for the minions (zombies, undead knights and ghost). My problem is I can't find a good model for the skeletal dragon. I've been eyeing the following:

- Magister Millitum 10 mm

Reaper's pathfinder young skeletal dragon:

What other options are out there?

Looking forward to seeing some suggestions. I love that Reaper model.

I was at a retail village at the weekend. In the childrens' toy section they had (amongst loads of other things)dinosaur skeletons. They were small, i.e. about 50mm long, and relatively cheap (£2 each).
if you bought several different you could build a dragon.

That's what I did. The 'dragon' below is a combination of two toys that sound similar to what you describe has.been. I haven't used it yet so it's not painted.

I like the Reaper one better though  :D

Bingo Barry!  that was what they were. I was tempted to buy a few, to use in a dinosaur dig scenario. All that stopped me was.... I already have a bag of such toys, for just such an idea.

Funnily enough i saw a bag of such toys yesterday so they must be common enough.

How about the Attack Wing Dracolich? I’ve found they are pretty good size for 15mm.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Thanks, looks gorgeous! But I'm afraid it's a bit big. Since I want it to replace game tokens, I'd need it to fit in a 20mm base.

Reference size would be the blue tokens in the pic:
