Burrows & Badgers scenery by Sarissa Precision
« on: August 24, 2018, 10:09:55 AM »

We've just launched some new terrain for B&B - it's MDF / Greyboard laser cut stuff designed by those lovely peeps at Sarissa Precision.
Although it's meant for Burrows & Badgers, I reckon it'd work pretty well for a lot of fantasy miniatures games. Here's some pics!

Anyway, here's a link if you feel like checking it out!

A couple of the houses are bit.. cartoony for me, which is fine for Burrows & Badgers but not for general use.
The covered market stall and well kit and the Tavern both look great though.

The market stall in particular looks like it could make a fine chapel too. I might be concerned that Borther Mortimer´s Den might be har to assemble. Based on review of Sarissas ships, it can be a tricky to get the greyboard to fit into the MDF on curved shapes.

I haven't built one of the Brother Mortimer's House yet - I'll let you know how it goes...

I like the looks of these. I suppose the curved roofs are the greyboard material..?

I think I know what that is. Is it also called chipboard?

These are really nice. Fitting nicely to Burrows & Badgers and other setting too - reminds me of Discworld :)

It's a kind of cardboard - similar to artist's mounting board in construction, as far as I can tell from looking at it. It's used for some of the roof sections, and things like the wood beams on the outside of the houses.

A Discworld game could be fun...

they do look great, but as with most of these models (paper ones too) would be enhanced with custom shingle roofs etc - more irregularity and 'character'.
Picked up the rulebook too.

I've got the rulebook - very nicely produced, and worth the price and more just for Gary Chalk's delightful illustrations ... but ... the photos (which are obviously very well done in terms of set-dressing) are used at rather a smalll size.

I don't get that - page layout could certainly have been done to allow for a couple of double-page spreads etc.

Can someone please comment on door sizes when compared to 28mm human minis? Love the buildings and it would be great to know how they fit in with other ranges, even better a photo.
