Africa Korps Uniforms in Italian Campaign

I have some Africa Korps figures and I was wondering if the desert uniform continued to be used in the Italian Campaign?

Yes, indeed 
You can find quite some pictures of Fallschirmjäger and Landser which still wear either old or newly issued tropical kit. After all it can get quite hot in Italy, Sicily and the Balkans too.
