Lovely work my friend. :D

These remind of flightless birds...
You built them in sketchup?

Imagine & you can.
Most see shapes you must see possibilities.

That was the plan! Maybe Kiwi? Or Cassowary, where the Kiwi will be even smaller robots i will use with infantry! :D

Yes, I mostly use sketchup for mech design. It's incredibly immediate compared to pretty much all the other software, and i've been using it since forever so i'm pretty fast with that. :)
Having a concept drawing beforehand helps a lot too, of course. :)

I have so many concept drawings that I dream would become Real models some day & sketchup might be the way to go.
A good idea would be to have basic scifi greebles in sketchup format one can use .
Fans, wheels, mecha legs , bits & pieces etc.

Thanks again for the great ideas.

Oh, please do try making some! Or share the concepts, if you don't mind me peeking at them!

Meanwhile, I printed the new bots in 15mm. The scale comparison looks remarkably cute.

Cheers

This is pretty awesome! a LOT of stuff going on there! I don't know how i missed this last week!
We'll talk more, always interested in cool designs!

Meanwhile, something not much military, but cool nonetheless. Mining equipment. Planning a full set in the few weeks, if i'll find the time.

C&C welcome, as always

Cheers,
Jack

 Thanks  :D
More stuff here
http://castrarunis.blogspot.com/2020/01/concept-drawings.html?m=1

That mining rig looks great... can be used for 6mm necromunda also ....

You can do panels , bridges, bulkheads etc
Basically square building blocks.

Just leaving this here.
Still WIP, proper pictures tonight or possibly in the weekend!

The main body is hand-made. An XPS form poured in plaster.

From there, i started decorating!

The house - you have already seen it. The silos are new though.

Printing right now some more additions to it. A bit of manual detailing (hand-sculpted) will follow.

Cheers,
Jack

Thank you all! I can't wait to get back home tonight and add the remaining details on it!

Now i REALLY have to find a badass way to make ladders in concrete. All the solutions so far are less than optimal. :(

AAAnd... here we are with the completed piece.

All the details added. Some parts are removable for easier painting, but all will be glued in place eventually!

C&C welcome!

Cheers
